Terms and Conditions

By placing a booking with us (the owner/his/her agent), you (the lead guest) and your booking party (guests) agree to the terms and conditions as set out below. During your stay you agree to the conditions stated below. If you have any questions about booking with us, please contact us before making a booking.

General

Bed & Breakfast “Casa La Vall” is part of “Simple Luxury Stays SL”. Michelle, Suzanne & Noëlle Meuffels are the owners of this “Sociedad Limitada”. The owner(s) can be replaced by a family member or an acquaintance.

These General Terms and Conditions apply to all guests of “Casa La Vall”, located at Calle D'Enmig 24, 03788 Benialí, Vall de Gallinera, Spain.

These General Terms and Conditions come into effect upon entering into a rental agreement. Upon request, a copy of these General Terms and Conditions will be provided free of charge to the (main) guest(s).

To place a booking with us, the main guest must be at least 18 years old. The maximum number of staying guests per room is shown in the room occupancy details in the reservation system. If the person making the booking is a person other than the main guest who will be staying, the person making the booking may be held responsible for cancellation, non-arrival and damages as detailed in these Terms and Conditions.

The manager is not liable for damage, loss or theft of guests' property. In the event of disputes, all (legal) costs will be borne by the guest(s).

All risks related to a stay at “Casa La Vall” are borne by the guest(s).

We reserve the right to charge the lead guest for any damage caused during a stay by a member of the booking group. This includes breakages, spills, stains, damage to furniture or fixtures and fittings. Any damage must be reported as soon as possible to minimize further damage and associated costs. If a key is lost, replacement costs will be charged.

All lost items, if discovered and found, left by guests during a stay will be retained for a period of one month. While we will do our utmost to reunite lost property with its owner, we accept no responsibility in replacing lost items and encourage guests to ensure they have all their belongings before checking out. We can offer to send lost items by registered mail at the owner's expense, otherwise it can be collected.

Guests must follow instructions from the manager.

The manager can immediately deny and/or refuse guests access to “Casa La Vall” in the event of violation of these General Terms and Conditions and inappropriate behavior, without further notice and stating reasons and without refund of accommodation costs.

The website of “Casa La Vall” has been compiled with the greatest care, but there may be differences between the text and/or photos presented on the website and the current situation in and around the accommodation(s) of “Casa La Vall” time of the visit by the guest(s). The guest(s) cannot derive any rights from such differences.

“Casa La Vall” reserves the right to change the terms and conditions. You accept and acknowledge as binding the terms and conditions in effect at the time you use the website and facilities of “Casa La Vall”.

The administrator's administration is decisive in the event of a mutual disagreement, unless the users can prove the contrary.

Guests of “Casa La Vall” must adhere to the House Rules.

Reservation and confirmation

The rental agreement can be concluded (based on availability) verbally, by telephone, in writing, by e-mail, via the reservation system on the website (https://www.casalavall.nl) or via an external party (including Booking.com). .

After receiving your reservation request and the confirmation sent by “Casa La Vall”, you must pay a down payment (if requested). The reservation constitutes a definitive booking agreement once you have received confirmation from us and the (down) payment has been made.

Reference is made to the General Terms and Conditions on the website, in the reservation system and in the confirmation email.

Payment

The deposit is 25% of the total rental amount and must be paid, if requested, when making the reservation.

The deposit must be paid by bank transfer. You must use the following information:

Bank account: ES43 2100 2785 6802 0029 6178;
In the name of: Simple Luxury Stays SL;
Mentioning: The booking number (as shown on the provisional invoice).

The current rates can be found in the reservation system on our website.

Cancellation

Guests who need to cancel a booking should contact us as soon as possible. Deposits already paid will only be refunded in accordance with the following conditions:

Cancellations are only accepted in writing or by e-mail stating the booking number. If the reservation agreement is canceled, the following cancellation costs will be charged:

In case of cancellation up to four weeks before arrival: No cancellation costs, full refund of the deposit;
If you cancel up to two weeks before arrival, the cancellation costs are 25% of the total rental amount;
If you cancel from two weeks before the arrival date, the cancellation costs amount to 50% of the total rental amount;
In the event of a no-show, the full rental amount is due. We advise you to take out good travel and cancellation insurance.

In the rare event that we have to cancel your booking with us, please note that we cannot be held liable for circumstances beyond our control and our liability to you is limited to the refund of any payment already made.

Force majeur

In the event of force majeure, both permanent and temporary, “Casa La Vall” is entitled to dissolve or temporarily suspend the agreement in whole or in part without the guest being able to claim performance and/or compensation. Force majeure includes, but is not limited to: danger of war, war, rebellion, strikes, boycott, disruptions in the energy circuit, traffic or transport, government measures, scarcity of raw materials, natural disasters and extraordinary weather conditions, death of one of the operators or close relatives of the operators, etc., as a result of which full or partial compliance with the agreement cannot reasonably and fairly be expected from “Casa La Vall”.

Personal information and privacy

We are required to keep a register of guests over 18 years of age staying with us, including full names and nationality, passport number and place of issue. This is in accordance with the (Immigration (Hotel records) Order 1972). This data is kept for a minimum of 12 months and in accordance with the DPA (Data Protection Act 1998) and the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation).

Our policy relating to the personal data you provide as part of a booking or inquiry through our website or a third party website, including the privacy of that data, is explained and set out in our Privacy Policy.

Our right to cancel

We reserve the right to cancel any booking without compensation, refund or reimbursement if the terms of these terms are breached.
